Zen.nl Durham is located in Shincliffe, just south of Durham in the North East of England not far from Newcastle Upon Tyne and Middlesbrough. The new Zendo (see photo) was opened last year by Brad Warner (author of Hardcore Zen and Sit Down and Shut Up) and accommodates 10
students. Zen.nl Durham follows the style of Zen.nl teaching as developed by Rients Ritskes in The Netherlands over the past 20 years with an inspirational and strong practical approach. The method is suited for active people seeking balance and inner direction, and is part of
the Rinzai Zen lineage of Seiko Hirata and Sokun Tsushimoto.
